Hey. It seems that expound doesn’t come with a category.php template, and thus by default, when visiting a category in wordpress while using expound, there are no categories listed and the formatting of the posts listed are improper (newlines not registered).

I tried to copy category.php from Twenty Thirteen theme to no avail.
It did give me a list of categories, but the placement is incorrect and the formatting of the posts are still bad.

Screenshot (please ignore the ugly background color etc, it’s random).

So again, the code is from Twenty Thirteen theme, except I use ‘wp_list_categories’ inside <h1> tags </h1>.

Expound uses index.php to render category archives. Copying category.php from another theme doesn’t really work. If you’d like to customize the category template in your child theme, you should copy Expound’s index.php into your child theme and rename it to category.php.

    Good luck!
