Help Making a Plugin

Hi all, I want to use “dlvr.it” as my URL Shortner for my short URL’s
To replace WP.ME. I’m currently using “WP bit.ly” which uses the bit.ly API to replace WP.ME shortlinks for bit.ly shortlinks.

My point is, I want to use dlvr.it shortlinks to do so, how would I go about this? I’ve NEVER made a plugin and don’t know PHP. They have an API here

I’ve used this to manually add a shortlink, but this is no good.

The reason I want to use my own shortlink is because when people tweet my site I like them to tweet the short link
