# help ! Internal Server Error

 * pls help site appeared to be working yesterday but now this morning this appears:
   
   any ideas about what happened pls ?
 * > Internal Server Error
   > The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable
   > to complete your request.
   > Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of 
   > the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have
   > caused the error.
   > More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

 * Could be .htaccess, mod_security, other server error. You should contact hosting
   support, such issue is possible to fix in few minutes.

 * when i ftp to my site I can’t see above the /htdocs file ?

 * Username has not enough privileges to see above /htdocs/. If you were able to
   see it before, then it’s permissions/ownership problem. Contact your hosting 
   support, they has full access to server and will fix it fast.

 * apparently my hosting company says I have to create the .htaccess file !

 * You may contact me by email (arthur.riskal@arkgroup.org) and I’ll check your 
   website, if you want. It should not take much time.
 * I would check website itself, .htaccess, logs, permissions and ownership, may
   be something else according to logs.

 * hi ark and thanks for feedback but it is a very new web space…i can’t see any
   logs …am going to try just creating a .htaccess file and then see what happens..
   fasthost haven’t exactly helped me!
