I have brief experiences with FTP programs, and basical HTML editing skills. I have installed a theme for wordpress I want to use but do not know where to start from. Do I need to download an FTP program with a server already to use htis? Does anyone have guidance or is maybe able to walk me through a couple steps? Thank you! If the theme is available in the WP theme repository, you can just go to your admin panel under` Appearance > Themes > Add New` and do it that way. I’m trying to get a more dumbed down version if at all possible. I’m aware I have to have PHP/MYSQL access.. I just liked godaddy and seemed pretty simple to use. I don’t mind having to manuall install wordpress.. I’m not recommending any particular hosting service, but just providing a starting point for you. Many people use GD for hosting and I believe they may also have 1-click installation. Just make sure to search the forums for the names of your hosting candidates to see what others have experienced before making a final decision.
