    I have looked,researched, sought help from my hosting site, and still can’t figure out how to have my HEADER on all of my website pages: http://www.lynnedarlington.com. changed to black.I go into Appearance/Customize/Colors/BaseColors and my text color is BLACK. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hello,
    Add the following custom CSS to customize-> Additional CSS

    header#masthead {
        background: #000;
    }

    I am mostly a novice, where exactly do I put that code?

    Themes/Customizing/Header Content — there is no place to add the code.

    Can you please be more descriptive? This is how my site looks now: http://www.lynnedarlington.com – you can hardly see my name. thanks!

    This should help: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-css/

    Our Colors add-on also allows you to change all of the theme colors inside the Customizer – might be worth taking a look at.

    Let me know if you need more info 🙂

    Thanks – using Poonam and Tom’s insight I was able to make the header black – THANK YOU! Now I just have to figure out how to clean up the width of the lower end of the header.

    Thanks for your help guys!
