I was trying to install Steve’s feedburner plug-in, and I screwed up my .htaccess file without saving a backup of the original. Now I can access my main site ( but nothing with the subdir (/blog) added.

Is there anything I can do besides re-installing everything? I’m just learning this, btw–it’s great, but kind of maddening.

  • For future reference, re-install. Yes, everything.

And I won’t even get into the problems I had when I tried to set up WP in a subdirectory like it was on the old TypePad blog. Much better for permissions and sanity to have it set up in the root directory.
