You can upload pretty much any file in WordPress. It make be too large for your server, or of an unsupported format, though.
Are you having a specific error?

this error The player.swf cannot be found at /home/webcom/public_html/asdasdasdasdas.org/wp-content/plugins/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player.swf. The plugin will not work!
any solution?
Hi,
Make sure that flash file is supported on your hosting server and you have added required MIME Types in hosting control panel.
Thanks,
Shane G.
When does this happen? On file upload, when you try and play the video?
Have you made sure the plugin was installed correctly?
ETA: This looks the same as this issue – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/390871
@cytec,
As part of installing the plugin, you need to download the JW Player from the LongTail Video site and upload it to the JW Player plugin directory.
Unfortunately, due to licensing we can’t host the player.swf in the WordPress repository.
Thanks.
