I am looking for a wordpress theme with a specific layout, but not sure how I can include an image of my mockup of what I am looking for here (?).

I was going to create a custom theme, but I figured I should see if there is a theme already made that would work.

The https://wordpress.org/themes/faith-blog/ theme is similar to what I am looking for (in some ways), but would require a lot of customizing anyway. Plus the footer seems to be broken in that theme. 🙁

Is it really necessary to even choose a theme since we have the new block editor? I had heard people say that it really isn’t important anymore (or something to that effect) and was wondering if it was true.

Sorry for posting two questions, technically. Thanks in advance.

Yes. The block editor accepts input from you. The theme is responsible for displaying it.

@sterndata thanks for answering. How do I upload an image here?

put the image on imgur.com (free) and paste a link to that here.

@sterndata, imgur requires phone number validation, but I don’t have access to a phone at the moment. Is there another way you can think of?

I’ll leave this for someone else; I hate searching for themes. My recommendation is to find something as close as possible, tweak whatever CSS you can, and live with there result. If you want something perfect, hire a developer.

Yeah. That’s probably what I will have to do.

Haha. I am a developer doing this for a client. It’s just preferable to see if a theme like this already exists. Otherwise, I’ll go foward with a custom theme.

    Clients. Grrrrrrr.

Clients aren’t that bad. It’s just difficult when the client wants something one way, but you (the developer) thinks it should be a different way. I prefer Wagtail CMS over WordPress personally, but many clients want WordPress for some reason.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. 🙂
