[Resolved] Help! Don’t know where my Dates went?

  • Above my post title there was usually a date in the format of ex. “November 29, 2005”. I’ve been messing around with WP and now I find that it’s missing. Where do I go to add the dates again to my posts? Thanks.

  • Usually that would be in the index.php file in your wp-content/themes/yourtheme folder.

    But what would I have to add to the index.php file so that my date’s show again?

    Actually it would be adding something like this example taken from the index.php used in the default theme:

    <small><?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?></small>

    What exactly do you mean by “messing around”?
    I suspect there was a theme switch, too, right?
    Some themes, like the Classic have the date before the title of the post and in between h2 tags. Others just have it in the “meta” section of the post, like Filed under…at…
