# HELP! Confusing error message….

 * I was recently editing a page on my WordPress site and I got the following message:
 * > Warning: require(/home/apinch/texasspeech.org/wp-includes/load.php) [function.
   > require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/apinch/
   > texasspeech.org/wp-settings.php on line 19
   > Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/apinch/
   > texasspeech.org/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/
   > usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/apinch/texasspeech.org/wp-settings.php on
   > line 19
 * I am a complete novice at working with wordpress and have no clue how to trouble
   shoot this. I thought about reloading the problematic file, in case I messed 
   something up while editing it, but it doesn’t seem like I have it or at least
   I can’t find it. I am sure this is a ridiculous problem but I need help- anyone
   have any ideas?

 * Try re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from
   a **fresh** download of WordPress.

 * Thanks- that totally worked! Any advice on how to keep stuff like this from happening
   in the future?

 * Since we don’t have any clear idea of what caused the load.php to go missing,
   it’s impossible to say. Could have just been a relatively rare server problem.
