# Help! Changed URL accidentally

 * I am developing my first blog and changed the url. Thus I have lost the ability
   to log in, and the blog has lost all its formatting, etc.
 * I found this article and wondered if one of these is the way to fix it:
    [http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL](http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL)
 * I have tried a couple of the options, but I don’t know where in the ftp file 
   I should make corrections. Any help would be appreciated.

 * That’s the right solution but you need to be editing your wp-config.php file.
   You can add the lines suggested to the bottom of the file – just before the `?
   >`. You then need to upload the amended file to your site using FTP.

 * Thanks so much. I’ve been hours on this. I found the wp-config.php file, but 
   there is no ?>

 * Then just add the two lines at the very end of the file – after `require_once(
   ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php');`.

 * Ok, posting your username, database name and *password* isn’t (hopefully) the
   smartest thing that you’ve done today. 🙂
 * Probably best you change that now…

 * If just spent 3 days building my site in WP and than did the same you did but
   on my local server still. Want let me back in. So if the files are still on my
   local server what do i need to do to get back into site? keeps telling me “wrong
   password”or wrong user. and if I press link i saved to desktop just get 404. 
   Was jsut getting ready to FTP. Argh
