Help! – broke my blog by trying to be clever!

I was trying to get the author name for each post to link to an introductory page about that author, so I tried putting an tag as my own user’s nickname. This has caused the layout of the site, http://www.myotherme.co.uk, to totally screw up, and when I try to alter my profile back the “save” button for the profile page just takes me to the page I’d linked to in the nickname without saving the changes.

Can anyone a) tell me how to fix this silliness and b) suggest a better way of achieving this?
