I would simply like to change the TEXT at the 'Leave a Reply'comments form... sounded simple to me, eh!

How on earth can I change the existing TEXT from 'MAIL (will not be published) (required)... to simply 'E-mail address [required]

I (eventually) found the "The Comments Form" at: http://codex.wordpress.org/Styling_Theme_Forms but couldn't find where to change to my required text.

As I am a male I require some pretty simple instructions as to where I located the html area to make the alteration.

I would really appreciate any HELP!

    Thank you

    Aaron

It should be in the comment.php template file of your theme.

    Hi Moshu

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Can you PLEASE tell me how or where do I get into the comment.php template file.

I am sorry to be such a pain but I have spent the last two (2) days and probably 10/12 hours trying to get into the html area without success.

I would really appreciate any assistance.

    Thank you

    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,

If you are using default wordpress theme and wordpress is installed in a folder named "blog" then comment.php is located at http://www.sitename.com/blog/wp-contents/themes/default/

    Hi PD & Moshu

I have tried dozens of LINKS including suggestions... all to NO avail.

I am using the iTheme 1.0 by Nick La which is a default theme located at iBlog, a WordPress operated site.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated and, the next time you are in Cairns Queensland (Australia), I would be delighted to buy you both heaps of beer.

    Thank You

    Aaron

In hosted (free) blogs using WordPress MU, normally, you can NOT edit any template files.
Refer to your host (iBlog) with any questions: they have the total control, not you!
