hello world (initial post) gone after I changed the name (4 posts)

Hi. After I set up wordpress at santinasheart.com/reflections I wanted to change the name of the initial post to "Welcome To Reflections" and have it as the default landing page when one comes to "santinasheart.com/reflections". From there is where I wanted to have all other links to the rest of the blog-to-be..

I also changed the permalink structure to reflect a user-friendly/sef url (pardon the joomla speak), and after I did this, I cannot get to any post after I set them.

How do I get the default page (santinasheart.com/reflections) to hold the initial post (which I changed to "Welcome To Reflections")? From there I'll have one-liners as links to the rest of the blogs that are to come.

Thanks for helping a newbie to this.

I think I have to actually get my permalinks structure down first. I have wordpress installed into a different folder than on the root. I created a folder since my actual index page, or home page is not ran by wordpress, but regular html. Thing is, I can't seem to get my link structure down because every link takes me to my home page (which is actually a splash page)
