    It would be awesome if the core devs included a couple of lines in the WP upgrade script, that checks whether Holly Dolly is present in the plugins directory or not.

    I’ve nothing against Hello Dolly being bundled in WP in the first install, but its really annoying when you repeatedly delete it, but hopelessly see it putting itself back during the upgrades.

    I could have left it sleep (inactive) in the plugins folder, but I’ve lots of clients who have localized WordPress installations. They’re from different cultures and Hello Dolly seems nonsense to exist on their site.
