• I have been at this for 5 hours.
    Goals:
    1) Add a generic child theme so I can modify the following items.
    1a) Center blog title
2a) Combine navigation bar and categories bar and center
    3a) [All content] above center
    4a) [Content Item] above center
    5a) [Content Item] below center
And a few more changes I think I can figure out on my own if I can help with the these.

My attempts to add child theme using:
    http://heatmaptheme.com/adsense-theme-for-wordpress/version-2/how-to-create-a-child-theme/
    http://heatmaptheme.com/adsense-theme-for-wordpress/version-2/colour-pack-child-themes-installation/

In Admin > Appearance > Themes > Install themes > HeatMap Adsense Theme 2.5.4 > Install now
Note: I have tried activating theme and then using FTP renaming to heatmaptheme and adding child folder.

I have also tried renaming folder to heatmaptheme using ftp and then activating theme.

Next, I have created new directory in themes/ folder trying each of the following
    heatmaptheme-child-newone
    heatmap-child-newone

Uploaded screenshoot.png, functions.php, style.css, default.css, and images folder into child folder

When I refresh my site and view source sytle.css & default.css, still coming from heatmaptheme and not child folder.

    Please help.
    Thank you
