Using headway theme and their support has not been able to help yet…I’m having drop down menu issues…
Headway Version: 3.6.3
WordPress Version: 3.9.1
For the site http://www.oneevasolutions.com/test/ I have a floating wrapper that contains the header content (logo, navigation menu and contact info) with a z-index value of 1. Below the header wrapper I have a fixed wrapper that contains some content (graphic, text and image rotator) The lower fixed wrapper has a z-index value of 2 in order to have the lower wrapper overlap the upper wrapper as is evident by the upper box shadow of the lower wrapper visible on top of the upper floating wrapper. This is a design choice that Im hoping to keep.
The problem is the services dropdown menu gets hidden by the content of the lower wrapper. It seems the drop down menu is inheriting the z-index of the fluid wrapper itself and changing the menu/dropdown individual z-index value to a higher number like 999 has no effect.
The only way to get the services dropdown menu to display correctly is to have the upper wrapper set to z-index 2 and the lower wrapper set to z-index 1. I have done so on the page http://www.oneevasolutions.com/test/about/ but as you see the look changes. The lower wrapper and its upper contents are hidden behind the upper wrapper.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance!
