Support » Fixing WordPress » Heading problems… Plugin conflict?

  • Hello,

Thank you in advance for your time and help.

about 6 months ago I was making a lot of changes to my WordPress site and downloaded a handful of plugins. I din’t notice it until after I made all the changes, but my headings on each article page has a long rectangle at the top of each post that crowds out Heading 1 and makes them over lap. It also effects (crowds and overlaps) all other headings below in the main article body, regardless of heading type/size

I would like to remove the rectangle and change what ever is messing it all up.

I have tinkered with it the last few months, but invested no real effort until now because I am re-investing my use in my site and it looks very unprofessional.

Please understand that i have very little understanding of html and the detailed workings of coding and such… so any advice offered would be appreciated, but please put it in layman terms or be very specific. Thank you!

Any help n figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a specific page with what I described (, but you will be able to see it on any article page.

    Thanks again,

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
