 * Hi
    I want to ask, can I make headings from H2 directly to H4? Is that bad for
   SEO? And can I still display my posts like this on google: [https://prnt.sc/ua1zb2](https://prnt.sc/ua1zb2)
   if I jump headings from H2 to H4? Thank you

 * Hi [@mushlih](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mushlih/),
 * We understand that you would want to change headings from H2 directly to H4.
   It goes both ways; any change you make to an element of SEO can help, or it can
   hurt, and there’s no way to predict which will happen unless you’re moving to
   or away from an obviously bad technique. Since we are not familiar with your
   underlying site structure we are not immediately sure what will be the result
   after changing this structure.
 * Please refer to this article to know [How to structure your headings](https://yoast.com/how-to-use-headings-on-your-site/)
   which might help you decide how your website be optimized in terms of headings
   and sub-heading of your content.

 * Hi
    Sorry, your post was too long, and I’d like it if you answered it here simply
   🙂 If I write headings using H2, then sub-headings directly to H4 are good for
   SEO? and can my post appear like the image above? Thank you

 * Hi,
 * We are unable to know if switching from an h2 to an h4 on your specific site
   will result in a better SEO outcome. However, we do see you want to get bullet
   lists on your site. These are called featured snippets. Google automatically
   decides to show them on your site.
 * As it turns out, Google and another Search Engine research company, Moz has some
   information regarding how you can best set-up and format it in hopes of sending
   enough signals to Google, that it should consider it as a featured snippet.
 * Google’s information: [https://search.googleblog.com/2011/08/new-snippets-for-list-pages.html](https://search.googleblog.com/2011/08/new-snippets-for-list-pages.html)

   Moz Information: [https://moz.com/blog/optimize-featured-snippets](https://moz.com/blog/optimize-featured-snippets)
 * We suggest reviewing the information contained in those pages and implementing
   them on your site.

 * Hi
    You say: “We are unable to know if switching from an h2 to an h4 on your
   specific site will result in a better SEO outcome.”
 * I’m not asking if changing the heading from H2 to H4 is good for SEO, but I mean,
   I made the title with H2, then I made the sub-heading using H4, and didn’t use
   H3, do you understand?
 * Like this example:
 * H1: Ballet shoes are cool
    ——-H2: Why do we think ballet shoes are cool? —————
   H4: Maybe cheaper than you think
 * See, the structure there is no H3, and I go straight to using H4 without H3
 * Thank you

 * Hi,
 * Is there any particular use-case why you wouldn’t use an H3 instead of an H4
   in the example you provided?
 * It wouldn’t make much sense for your content structuring if you use H1, H2, and
   then skip H3 and go to H4 right away. We can’t confirm if this would cause any
   detriments to your SEO ranking, but just from a content structure standpoint,
   you should follow the proper heading hierarchy so it makes sense to your readers
   and users.

 * Hi
    Thank you very much for the answer 1 more question, can I get something like
   this: [https://prnt.sc/ua1zb2](https://prnt.sc/ua1zb2) in search results without
   headings? I mean the lists at search results like the image above do not use
   headings but use [lists or numbers](https://prnt.sc/upqetc)? Thank you

 * Hi,
 * That rich result is extracted from the page content and not by any specific type
   of schema. So if you have structured lists, tables, concise answers, that would
   encourage that kind of result.

 * So, doesn’t it have to be a heading to appear that way in search results?

 * Hi [@mushlih](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mushlih/),
 * No, this doesn’t have to be taken from a heading.
