Headers in general-template.php

  • I’ve searched the forum and the web extensively, but have yet to find a solution to my “header sent” error. The text appears when I autosave a post (in the sidebar) and when I save the post, the blog url is displayed twice, above the text

    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/.../public_html/wp-includes/general-template.php:65) in /home/.../public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 770

    I’ve checked wp-config for whitespace, and reviewed both pages and the only thing I can see inside general-template.php at line 65 is

    echo get_bloginfo($show, 'display');

    I’ve tried commenting this line out, but that presents other problems. This is really annoying me because I can’t save posts without an extra step. Suggestions?

  • To anyone who may be interested in a solution to this problem, it was because I had a plugin that I had written that was breaking. So if your WP installation is messed up, check your plugins.
