 * To set up Expires headers using the “Static file cache” tab in WP-Optimize, follow
   these steps:
    1. **Enable Page Caching**:
    2. - Go to your WordPress Admin Panel.
        - Navigate to **WP-Optimize** > **Cache**.
        - Enable caching if it is not already enabled.
    3. **Configure Static File Cache**:
    4. - Click on the **“Static file cache”** tab.
        - Enable the option to serve static files.
        - Set the time for which these files should be cached by setting the “Expires
headers”. By default, this might be set to 28 days, but you can adjust it
          as needed.
    5. **Save Settings**:
    6. - Ensure all your changes are saved by clicking the save button.
 * This will configure Expires headers for your static files, ensuring that they
are cached properly to improve site performance.

 * Thank you! Is there an optimal number of days for the “Browser static file caching
   settings?”

 * Does it take so long to go into effect? I just ran the SEO Optimizer on Rank
Math, and it still shows that being a problem.

 * The default is 28 days, but you can adjust this based on how often your static
assets change. For Apache servers, changes should take effect right away. If
SEO tools still show issues, make sure all caches, including CDN, are cleared.

 * Sorry, I’m still learning. How do I do that? Break Math told me to stop using
   CDN.

 * I’m using Breakdance. Does that change anything?

 * I do not see a “Static file cache” tab. I see a “Static file headers” tab. But
when I click on that, it only gives me the option to change the expiration time.
 * It also says: “The .htaccess file already contains browser static caching settings,
but browser caching is not functioning as expected. This indicates that your
webserver does not support .htaccess browser caching rules. To further investigate
this, you must contact your web hosting provider.”

 * It looks like Breakdance has an issue with clearing the post cache after editing.
I recommend reaching out to Breakdance support for fixes to improve compatibility.
 * Yes, you’re on the right track! The “Static file headers” tab is where you can
change the expiration time. If you’re seeing a message about your webserver not
supporting `.htaccess` browser caching rules, you’ll need to contact your hosting
   provider for support.
