• Is there any way to roll back the updated header? It has ruined the entire look we had created on both desktop and mobile versions. It is very difficult to customize and has a lot of glitches.

This is a screenshot of your header. Is there anything wrong with it?

@vladff, The screenshot you made was mad after I did rolled back.
But now it works with 1.81. I did update again, cleared cash, stayed logged in to wp-admin, and the header appeared again two times. I then logged out from wp-admin (what I have not done when I tried to update earlier), cleared cache again and then everything looked fine.

    Thanks for the nice theme

Greetings @nimrod54, @vladff. You are talking about browser cache, right?

@gjt1000, yes, clearing the browser cache helped. But in my case I had to logout from wp-admin. Still logged in, clearing browser cache did not help.

Thanks @nimrod54. I’ll give it a go … fingers crossed.

You can just hit CTRL F5, no need to log in/out. Sometimes it happens.

Just FYI – I fixed the site title font color using the following CSS

@checknerd Newer version for Sydney (v. 1.82) has been released and it fixes the site title color bug. Please try updating your theme.

    Will do, Kharis, thank you.

@vladff, everything works ok now, it looks nice, but just in my browser. What will a visitor see today, if he already visited my website the day before I updated to 1.81 and he did not dlear cache?

I wrote you a reply for this on your other thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sydney-update-2/#post-14947620

Everything was fine until the automatic update to 1.83. The font sizes are all messed up now and there is no longer a way to fix that. I also can’t go back to the previous font style, which was fine.

    Hi @checknerd,

The font size options will be back in next update of the theme. Currently your font sizes should remain in database and it will be automatically back to the site once the theme is updated in the future.

There is also an issue with the favicon. Mobile Google search shows a different icon now next to the website address. It’s also the same on the sitemap.xml page. Please check the settings for that as well.

My God, I really wish I had come to this forum and read the issues with this train wreck of an update before blindly trusting it! None of the above solutions worked for me and I’m now attempting to restore my client’s site from a backup with my fingers crossed that it’ll work. If not, I may find myself re-constructing the site altogether. Not looking forward to explaining this mess to her!

This is incredibly disappointing. Sydney has been my go-to theme for so many sites and this update is an absolute dumpster fire. Bad move, guys, really bad. Hope you’ll do better in the future.
