Header Tag Line (description) width issue

  • I am fairly new. I installed Twenty Ten theme and created a child theme to modify the header. I’ve installed Firebug, as suggested on other topics.

    I have created a style.css file for the child theme.

    The tag line (site description) width is set to 220 px width and continues on the next line if the text is longer than the width. So I have tried to increase the width. Anything bigger than 240 px makes the whole tag line drop (no longer in-line with site title).

    #site-description {
    clear: right;
    float: right;
    font-style: italic;
    margin: 15px 0 18px;
    width: 240px;
    }

    Is there a way to make it bigger will still staying on the same line as the title?

    DadsGreenLife.com is currently showing width at 240 px.
