header, sidebar, topic area

  • I was wondering where the background coding is for the header area, sidebar and topic area as I’d like to add a semi transparent image to them so you can see the rest of the background.

  • I can’t find the edit button so I’m posting here again. If it is somewhere please tell me.

    ok I found the place in the css for the background. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong as I’ve tried the full link and the shortcut but it’s not letting me use the image for the background. Here’s what I have in the css.

    #page {
    	background-image: url('/images/transparent.png');
    	background-color: #fff;
    }

    The original code looked like this.

    #page {
    	background: #fff;
    }

    Grr why won’t it let me edit my posts? Well anyway I got the background image working but I can’t use any color code. I’ve tried:

    background-image: url('/images/transparent.png');
    	background-color: #fff;

    and

    background: #fff; url('/images/transparent.png');

    But when I don’t have the color code “#fff” the image works. I want’ both in case the image breaks or someones browser doesn’t pick it up and then then the site won’t look good.

    Please please please let us edit posts.
