Support » Plugin: TablePress » Header row text converts to all caps

    The table header row defaults to all caps even when the cell entries are upper and lower.

    e.g. Word 1 entered in a header row cell becomes WORD 1

    I’d like to use upper and lower case text here, can you advise custom css to do this? Thanks

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    This is caused by your theme, which contains CSS code to turn all table header row cells uppercase. To change this, please add this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:

    .tablepress thead th {
      text-transform: normal !important;
    }

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Thanks, for my installation it seems to be “text-transform: none” But works perfectly, thank you Tobias.

    One remaining query which may also be the theme (twenty eleven). When the table is required to become narrower due to a small screen or browser window, the wrapped line spacing in the header row seems to be very widely spaced vertically within each cell. See here (rightmost 2 columns)

    Hi,

    ah, my bad, sorry… Yes, none instead of normal, of course.

    That other issue is also coming from the theme, it looks like the line height. You could use

    .tablepress thead th {
      text-transform: none !important;
      line-height: normal;
    }

    then.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Perfect, many thanks Tobias

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
