Header Pixelation Issue!
-
Hi, I’ve been having issues when attempting to create my own header for my wordpress blog.
It seems to pixelate, even though i’ve created it in illustrator (which should be vector) and saved it for web as a high quality jpeg.
I used the correct image size for the theme i’m using which was 1280 x 300
however i’m having no luck..Can anyone help me get to the bottom of this?
thanks

can you link to your site so we can see what’s wrong?
Is the image itself blurry: http://www.thepeoplevsthebanks.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/cropped-new-size.jpg ?
but it isn’t on my computer? it’s when i upload it, it goes blury
when you save it in illustrator how are you doing it? are you doing the whole save for web process?
try saving it as a .png file and see if it’s any smoother….
Yeah i’m doing it save for web.. jpeg… 100% quality etc..
OK, I’ll see if that works
I’ve tried the .png way, if you check back on the link above, it’s still abit blurry
it’s much better though 🙂 just for a quick experiment try reactive the default theme and try adding it into there and see if that makes a difference…
this is my theme – https://wordpress.org/search/simone+?forums=1
if that helps at all
it doesn’t let me add that banner with the default theme?
Header*** i mean
hmm… it’s odd that it’s only the letters that are slightly fuzzy, the logo icon is fine. have you tried to use a different font when you create the image? it may be that that’s causing the issue…
good point, i’ll try that
just changed it mate… what do you think?
its got a new font
it’s still a bit blurry… do you know what dpi setting you’re using when you create the jpg?
