This afternoon I had a similar problem.
It did not allow me to edit any of the headers.
In my case it showed me a 404 error telling me that it did not allow me to see any preview.
I found a link to the Elementor FAQ called:

But then I saw another article in the Elementor FAQ more direct to my problem.
– How to Fix 404 Page or Page Not Found Error Messages
I managed to solve it in an easier way:
Check if you can solve this by changing the permalinks in “Settings> Permalinks” on your WordPress Dashboard. You should set it to “Plain” (Simple) to troubleshoot.
Then I went back to my usual mode and it works again too.
Although there are 5 other options.
I share this information in case it facilitates the solution of this problem (I lost 1h finding out a solution).

Please try once if the issue fixes on your end after changing the permalink structure temporarily. Refresh after saving the changes in the settings.
