Header not displaying & question about links

Hi,

I have a wordpress site with 5 different pages. The site address is:
http://susanhodos.wordpress.com/
The header displays on 4 pages, but will never display on the last page. What can I do to fix that?

Also, when I’ve added links to outside websites, it sometimes default colored the text of the link blue, and other times purple. (See the page called “recommended readings and podcasts). I’d rather it be consistent, and ideally would like to choose the color of the text to be black. I tried to highlight the text and choose a text color, but that made no difference. What can I do?
