• Hi,
I am a novice at WordPress.

Here is the link to a site I have been asked to finish off:

The header has a logo inside a fancy frame. They seem to be linked, as if I remove the Featured Image from the Home Page, the frame disappears as well.

I can’t find where to unlink them so that I can centre the image. Can anyone help?

I am doing this as a favour to a friend, it’s a rescue mission as it was abandoned by someone else. I am the monkey you get when you pay ( less than) peanuts:)

    Many thanks

  • Your link is messed up. Wanna try again?

PS sorry about the odd link thing up there, I clicked ‘link'(above) typed in the www. and so on and look what happened. No idea why.

If you just hit the “link” and added the www, then once it posted the link, you needed to write the link text and the closing tag. (Alternatively, you can highlight the words you want linked, and hit the link button, and it’ll do it for you) You can still edit the post and pop it in there.

Ok, can only stick ‘resolved on the other one, but obviously still have the problem.
    Sorry!

I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors. We do not support commercial themes here.

It *appears* that the header is using the jQuery cycle code. You might want to read the docs in that. My guess would be that the settings for the picture are in an external JavaScript file, or in the header.php or footer.php (or possibly functions.php, if it was done right) of the theme.

There’s also a plugin called “wp cycle“…is the site using that?

Either way, I’d begin with the Cycle stuff and work from there.

    Thanks Doodlebee, that’s really helpful.

Esmi, I didn’t realise that it was a commercial theme, even so, I would probably have come here first, as most companies wash their hands of you once you start customising outside the box, as it were. But thankyou for your warning.
