I’ve modified the header navigation menu and background image (replaced the bird) with the new design editor. For the reader everything looks fine, but editors see only some of these modifications, when editing. They still see the bird and a navigation menu item for the sample page, which I have removed as admin.

Can they check the template of the Sample Page on the page settings? You will see which template this page is currently using, is it the same as the template you edited?
Hi @tantares sorry for the delay in response, I tested this on my site. It’s normal for the Sample page to show a page template or standard template (default template) on the right sidebar. This means that the page is using the default template for pages that came with the theme.
I am failing to replicate the issue you are having, are you able to share a link to your site?
Hello thelmachido, unfortunately I can’t send you a link since it is a private site. However I made some more investigations and found, that the different look of the startpage is caused by access restrictions of the PDA (Prevent Direct Access) plugin. Looks like some modified items are not accessible for editors whereas others are. It’s not the Sample Page, it’s the bird image and the order of the navigation items on the startpage. So even when I replace the bird image with a image uploaded by the editor, she still sees the bird instead.
Sorry for bothering you, but maybe you can give me a hint how and where to grant access while still keeping the PDA.

Hi @tantares thank you for providing more information about the issue. If the plugin is restricting certain users from viewing the header template you will need to reach out to the developers so that they can take a look and advice.
