 * there is a weird pink rectangle appearing beneath my header on my new website.
   It does not appear on my homepage but it appears on every other page. I’ve tried
   every custom css to get rid of it but i honestly don’t even know what it is called.

 * That space seems to be where the page title is supposed to go.
