• I’m trying to place an image under the menu bar for one page only that spans the entire width of the header.

Thanks in advance for your patience for I am from the print world. 🙂

  • Do not edit the theme itself. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

Yeah. I have a child theme… now what?

Next, create a custom page template that can be applied to your chosen page.

OK. I think I did that right. Now comes the hard part, right? Adding in code to that page so my image will be placed under the menu bar.

    Is that fairly easy?
What is the code and where should it go?

Also, I can’t thank you enough for your help with this!

Now comes the hard part, right?

Yep – but it is all very do-able. 🙂 You will just be editing the custom page template that you recently added to your child theme.

Do you want this image to be placed in the markup – for example, is it intended to be turned into a link? Or is it something that is really more for decoration – in which case it could be added by CSS?

At present, the image is just for decoration, but that could change. Would it be too difficult for you to provide direction both ways?
