Support » Fixing WordPress » header-image-slider plugin and Internet Explorer

  • I have read several issues on the forum about this plugin giving problems in IE but in none of the topics there is a written solution for this.

Running the header-slider-image plugin gives good results on any browser, except on IE. I get a big white spot right below the header, to find the rest of the site 1000 PX below the header. After the rotating headers are all loaded, and the site is being refreshed, the white spot isn`t there any longer and it looks fine. Also, in the control panel of the site for adjusting the plugin, there is not a good example of the sliding header. It shows a red x and a 1000px x 1000px white space. Maybe the same as what I see in IE except without header, which does display on top of the IE browserwindow when loading the site.

Again, in any browser it looks perfect, just not in the preview window and Internet Explorer. I really like to keep this slider so I hope anyone can help me with a solution for this.

Rather not on a forum in case of search engine results linking to a forum about me having trouble with an issue, I can email if that`s ok?

ok, I had no idea that was nessecary since I wasn`t sharing the url in my profile either? I am also running SWF sites but am not using the plugin on those…

Which plugin is it? If it’s a known issue with the plugin, you’d likely need to ask the developer.

    – You haven’t specified which version of IE the issue occurs in.
    – You can add a no-go robots.txt file to your website if you don’t want search engines to crawl it.

Ah well, I can share it but hope that no one get`s offended here..

I didn’t mean that I don’t want search engines to locate my site, I just don`t want my site to be famous through a forum in which I display it with problems…

I am using IE 9, the site is http://blog.ariaindex.com [NSFW]

It’s the header-image-slider plugin, is there a way to contact the author? I couldn’t find contact info on his profile…
