Header image shifts to right

    my header image suddenly shifted to the right after I uploaded a better image.

    I resolved it for a few minutes, by adding this to my childtheme (alétheia, child theme of Follet)

    #branding hgroup {
    clear: both;
}

    then it reverted back again. I use firefox. Google chrome gives the same distorted result, but internet explorer is fine.

    I’ve read other themes have the same issue, but are normally resolved by adding the code. I tried adding ‘!important’ but that didn’t work

    I also tried deactivating all plugins installed, with any header or gallery changes

    ok now this is strange, it seems fine, and I did nothing, I didn’t even finish writing this post!!!!

    perhaps the pixies came and went while I waited..I don’t think

    Can you post a link to your site please?

    There’s no way of knowing without seeing the page and inspecting the code.

    well, not quite, I went back in to reajust the image ( because I’d tried to crop it after it started shifting, and now it’s right back over to the right again…just going to check it in the other browsers

    the subdomain (french) is fine, so it seems it’s probably the child css as i havn’t copied that over to the new subdomain yet

}

    You can try to add that to your child-theme’s style sheet.

    pandora i am having the same problem with the Minamaze theme, but it is shifted right in all browsers. I will try the code.

    BTW that is a lovely website design, opening the box etc, very beautiful and rich-looking.

    thanks for the compliment rural-lunch – the style is mainly due to the wonderful geeks who create these themes .
    I do have a background in graphics but it was way back in olden times of yonder, B.C. = Before Computers!
