    This setup tutorial should help 🙂
    Show Widgets on Select Pages Only

    How do I get the header only on my home page without installing another plugin?

    There are other options, but to be honest, you would end up with more work and possible complications…regardless of the theme being used.

    Ultimately, the only and best solution is the plugin method. IF you use Jetpack, you can use the Widget Visibility feature, or if you don’t have jetpack, use the Display Widgets plugin.

    Is there a reason for not wanting to install another plugin?

    I wanted to follow up to find out if you were able to show your header on just the home page?

    No,I gave up and switched to the Customizr theme.

    Hi, I’m having the same problem. I have Jetpack installed, however the problem seems to be that the header is in the customize section, not the widget area so there is no option to turn this off. Am I missing something?

    @sabby444 Because you are using jetpack, you won’t need Display Widgets, instead you can use the Jetpack’s Widget Visibility. Regarding turning off the banner header, go to Appearance >> Customize >> Header Image

    Then uncheck the box next to:

    Show or Hide the Custom Header

    That should disable the WordPress Custom Header option so you can then use the Banner sidebar instead. Hopefully this is what you were looking for?

    Hi there, I tried this. Unfortunately the banner side bar is not responsive like the built in header (ie It doesn’t look good in mobile view) and it doesn’t appear that you can use the header caption box with that enabled. It would be better if you had the option Show Custom Header on Home Page only or something like that in the header customization.

    Thanks. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.

    Hi Sabby444….do you have a link to where this banner image is showing? I will take a look because it should be responsive. Also, how did you add your new banner to the page? Also, what browser are you using?

    As a side note, I love feedback from users such as yours about the “Show Custom Header on Home Page only” comment. User feedback is what helps to make themes even better.

    I have setted centered the site title but the site title is always on the left.
    How can I do to center the site title?
    Thanks

    @felvira….its best to start a new topic being as this one is not really related to the original one started here.

    However, for your issue, I discovered I need to fix this on the next theme update. However, to fix this now, add some custom CSS using a plugin like Simple Custom CSS and add this:

    .site-title {
        text-align: center;
    }

    Hi, i have the same problem:
    “How do I get the header image to only appear on the home page?”

    I tried to use the plugin “Display Widgets” as advised but “Header Image” is not in the widget i think.

    There is an option to show Custom Header on Home page only and not in all pages?

    I like Opportune Lite theme, is very well build.

    Thanks

    @cloudio08…probably best to start a new topic for yours…however, if you go to Appearance >> Customize >> HEader Image….you can uncheck the box for this setting “Show or Hide the Custom Header” then switch to using a widget in the banner sidebar in conjunction with the Display Widgets plugin to select the pages you want your banner to show.

    Tutorial 2

    Tutorial 3

    hi, thanks for the detailed tutorials.

    Image in the banners works well and seem responsive also in small screen.

    The only thing is that the Title of the widget in banner is always displayed.
    I used !Front Page Banner with an exclamation mark right in front as sayed in tutorial2, but the title is displayed. I cleared the title field and it is not displayed.

    thans for the support.

    For the ! exclamation mark to hide the title to work, you need a plugin called “Remove Widget Titles”
