I’m using the Lovecraft theme and am having a problem loading images for the header. I can load them but they don’t work. They are there as you can see them if you click ‘Edit image’.

    Any ideas please? Thanks

    Hi @wob4wp,

Have you set the image you’re looking to use in Appearance → Customize → Header Image?

Yes. I’ve loaded them by drag and drop, and by searching.
The images appear as blank thumbnails. The details appear on the right hand side if I click Edit Image. If I then click Select and Crop there’s nothing there.

@wob4wp I see. If you’re having issues uploading images to the site overall, it doesn’t sound like it’s a theme specific issue. My tip would be to check that the image file size doesn’t exceed the file size limit. It could also be an issue with folder permissions on the server, but WordPress should display a warning if that’s the case.

The images are there though. They display on the right hand side.
I’ve uploaded with smaller dimensions than recommended and much smaller than max size. They are being uploaded from the Desktop, so no folder permission issues.
    Can I send screenshots?

@wob4wp Sure, you can upload the image somewhere and post the URL to the screenshot here.

Anders, thank you but all is now resolved.
The problem was that my media library folder was pointing to the wrong place.

    Thanks again
