Header image does not display

    WordPress 3.5.2
    Theme 2012 TwentTwelve

    After submitting a header image the browser window goes blank

    The image (858 x 125 pixels) does FTP to the uploads folder with year and date subfolders but it does not display.

    When I try the alternative “Choose an image from Media Library” I get an HTTP red flag error.

    On my local MAMP server with the same WordPress version and theme the header image does display below the navigation bar. Also on my MAMP server Uploaded header images are displayed. They do not on display my web service provider Hostway.

    I have already reinstalled WordPress once by deleting and FTPing every file except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php.

    I have also tried this with a different theme 2011. The header images that are included in that theme would display but only randomly.When I tried to upload my own header image I enxountered the same problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.
