• Hi–Just getting the wordpress part of my site up–and keep resizing my header image, but the crop box keeps proportionately getting small w/the smaller I resize the .jpg image in Photoshop Elements 8. I have it down to 5.5″ X 1.6″. I have it installed, but looks creappy. Any ideas??

Also–How does one get rid of the site name in black letters from above the header image (upper left).

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • You need to create an image that is 940 pixels wide and 198 pixels hight at a resolution of 72 – 90dpi. Images in web pages work in pixels – not inches.

Hi Esmi–Thanks for taking the time to respond. I have redone the image in Photoshop multiple times (including the size you referenced) and it still does not come out correctly, and the crop image function appears and wants to take 1/2 of the banner away. I will re-do it tonite and post again so you can take a look.
Any thoughts on the other question on my post?

Try looking for “Display Text” in Appearance -> Header and ensure that it is set to “No”.

I couldn’t locate any type of a text modifier.
