 * Hi I would like to add a custom background image to the header on my website 
   [http://www.davidtann.net](http://www.davidtann.net). How can i have image header
   similar to this site [http://catchourtravelbug.com/](http://catchourtravelbug.com/)
 * and what is the dimension size of the image i should have?

 * Hi . The site you linked may be using the version from the [theme website](http://alxmedia.se/themes/hueman/).
   It contains an option to upload a header image. The image on davidtann.net is
   1380×300.

 * Here are a couple of options:
    1. Copy header.php to a child theme and modify
   it as discussed in this [Codex article](http://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Headers).
   2. I did a quick mock-up using only css and pasted the code on [Pastebin](http://pastebin.com/AaPaGQG2).
   The images aren’t responsive so it still needs some adjustments, but it works
   in concept. 3. Use one of the [several plugins](https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1NNVC_enUS491US548&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=wordpress%20plugin%20header%20image)
   available for inserting header images.
