always possible
what theme? it depends.
that one is fairly easy
you will need an .jpg image for the header that is 760 x 200
name the image kubrickheader.jpg
upload it to
/wp-content/themes/minimalism/images
go to site and refresh page
that should do it
you have a header

Thanks! I’ll give it a try.
What about a header for the elegant-grunge theme? Do you know that height and width in pixels for it to fill the whole area?

I think I found the info I needed for the elegant-grunge theme.
I can’t get the header to work for the minimalism theme. The jpg image is in the right file. It is actually showing up behind the origianl header words in the “edit header” function but it won’t load on the page.
You know, I’m having some trouble with this one. I made the kubrickheader.jpg and put it into the appropriate folder – it shows up when I go to edit the header in the Design settings, but won’t show on the actual site. Any idea as to what gives?
It’s http://www.emiror.net.
Thanks in advance!
This seems like an awkward fix, but have you tried editing your CSS?
#header {
background: url(images/kubrickheader.jpg) no-repeat;
}
That seems like the most obvious fix to me.
Now, in minimalism 1.0.3 there is a standard header, very easy to change: just edit the minimalismheader.jpg in /wp-content/themes/minimalism/images and that’s it. Have fun with minimalism.
I’m sorry, but I can’t seem to get mine working. I’ve uploaded it to the correct folder, I’ve tried the suggestions here, and even in the “Header Image and Color” editor the image doesn’t even show…
I can only get the “text” version of the header to show, but I just want the jpeg. My site is here:

I appreciate any help!
Never mind…I just had to delete the default and then upload it again…for some reason that worked!
I have been trying to get my header to install as well (elegant grunge theme). I finally got my header on there, but my page shows it extremely huge, you can see only a small portion of it. When I created it I sized it as 760×200. Also, I have tried to go into header.php and like when I go into any .php file I cannot save any changes I make. It acts like it is saving to my hard drive, and I cannot change the path in which to save it. Any suggestions? I have already made sure my permissions were 755, and I have also changed them to 777 just to see, but no change at all. Thanks.
