i’ve enabled hCaptcha integration in User Registration settings.

i’ve also installed hCaptcha plugin, mainly to use it with Contact Form 7, but left unchecked the option to show it on Login, Register, Lost Password forms – to leave it to User Registration to handle it.

hCaptcha appears under UR’s login form, and works. it does also show and work on the Default Form.

when i test UR’s Lost Password form (in /my-account/lost-password) though, hCaptcha is not there.

if i enable hCaptha for Lost Password in hCaptcha plugin, UR’s Lost Password form does not show any hCaptcha, but submission generates error, as the captcha has not been completed.

with these settings (hCaptcha enabled in Lost Password form), if i go to WP’s standard Lost Password form via wp-login.php, hCatpcha appears and works.

changing hCaptcha display setting to Normal/Compact/Invisible ha no effect whatsoever on the problem in UR’s Lost Password form – hCapthca just does not appear but gives error cos it’s not been completed.

i was expecting UR’s Lost Password form to work seamlessly with hCaptcha as UR’s Login form does, but it does not seems so.

    any idea?

    thanks for your help.

    Hi @maxgx,

    Thank you for writing in,

Although it appears that you are using a third-party hCaptcha plugin on your site, it is not required on the user registration form plugin because we have our own feature that integrates with hCaptcha. Please see https://docs.wpeverest.com/user-registration/docs/how-to-integrate-hcaptcha-in-registration-login-forms for more information.

Currently, we do not have a feature to enable hCaptcha or Google captcha on the lost password page. However, we will consider it and possibly implement it in the future. We will notify you as soon as the feature is available.

    Regards!

thanks for looking into it @shresthauzwal

given the lost-password form is controlled by User Registration and that it’s not likely going to be a spammer-exploited form as any other, i’ve decided to disable hCaptcha plugin on it (and leave it on any other form not controlled by User Registration).

but yes, given you activate your own hCaptcha feature on login and UR custom forms, i guess it’d make sense to have the same feature on the rest of the forms UR takes control of.

looking forward to future developments, and congrats for all!
