    HAVP The following server is down: (and 
   there is nothing after the colon) Connection failed
 * Apart from that things work, but it is a bit disconcerting to have the above (
   large – takes half the screen) on every page.

 * Is HAVP (HTTP Anit Virus Proxy) part of a plugin you installed? I can’t find 
   anything that relates it to a specific plugin for WordPress.
 * It looks like the web site related to HAVP hasn’t been updated since 2010, so
   they may have abandoned the product.

 * Thanks Matt. I had looked at the plugins and nothing looked suspicious. I will
   try switching them off one by one.

 * Tomoe.. Try to de-active your plugin one by one.
    You’ll find which plugin cause
   the problem.

 * Sounds like you just need to set up a more concrete way of replicating the issue.
   
   If deactivating your plugins hadn’t worked then I don’t think you’re experiencing
