• Hello all,
I’m taking over a site from a previous admin, and I want to make a change to how our blog works.

We have a separate static front page, but in the blog, individual posts aren’t able to be opened. It’s just one long page of posts.

When I went into the settings and changed the Posts page to “Blog”, the posts went away, and now its just header and footer content…Argh. I know all of this is related to the Loop somehow, and there is a php template with it in there. But I can’t tell if the blog Page is set to use that. How do I do that?

URL is villagecoffeenola.com; I’m going to put it back the way it was before I broke it.

This is my first time posting in here, so if anyone can help, it’d be much appreciated.

Anybody have ideas on this? I can’t find a solution that works out. Would love critique, advice, pointers, etc.

    Thanks

Your posts seem to be showing up on the Blog page when I look at it.

Yeah the posts themselves are there, but they’re static on the page. They don’t link to their specific permalinks, and I’ve tried every which way to fix it.

For instance, I thought perhaps adding a <!–more–> line would delineate one post from another, but the more link doesn’t show up at all.

Like I said before, I think there’s something I’m not getting right between the WordPress dashboard and the php template files, but I don’t have any ideas on what might be the source of the problem.

And thanks for taking a look, beattle 🙂
