Having trouble resizing wrapper in easel style.css (4 posts)

    Hi there

    I'm sorry if I sound stupid, but I haven't been using wordpress long and I'm having problems with the style.css in the easel them.

    I'm basically trying to resize the whole theme slightly as I really like the theme but I find its a little too narrow. I want to resize the central column by quite a bit and the sidebar by just a little.

    My site is http://www.theblackflag.co.uk

    Also I know I'll have to resize the header as well to compensate.

    I've been looking for the wrapper in the style.css to do this but can't actually find it. Is there a different class thats used instead?

    Hopefully I'm making sense. I currently use an easel child theme

    #sidebar-right, #sidebar-left and .narrowcolumn

    mind you, the prefix to .narrowcolumn changes dependent on what 'layout' you use.

    If you view-source of your site and look in the <body class=" of the site you will see what layout to prefix the .narrowcolumn with. For example:

    .layout-3c .narrowcolumn { width: 520px; }

    The wrapper itself is #page which is again, dependent on what layout you are using, however its either 980px or 780px

    Sorry I haven't had a chance to spend some time working on the site until now.

    Yeah that does it. I've increased both the sidebars by 90px and I've set the custom header size to compensate.

    Thanks a lot for your help. easel really is a great theme and you've made its style.css a little bit clearer for me.
