• I know this isn’t really this forum’s job, but I thought I’d ask since it does seem to be WordPress specific.

I’m attempting to run WordPress locally using Xampp. I’ve moved an installation from a remote server to my local machine. It runs fine. I can view the homepage and get around in the admin panel. However, when I attempt to navigate the site to any page besides the homepage, I get 404 messages from Xampp.

I thought it might be a permalinks issue, but that didn’t seem to solve the problem either. I also don’t have any reason to believe there’s anything wrong with Xampp. I thought there might be something settings registered in the database somewhere that were for remote server, but no are fouling things up locally.

Anyone have an idea of what might be happening?
