• I am trying to upload and install new themes in a 3.0 multisite installation and am getting the following error:

“The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/1ultima1.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads.”

There is no additional explanation, so I am at a loss.

    Any thoughts?

  • /wp-content/uploads/ doesn’t exist on multisite installations. Themes should go to /wp-content/themes/

Are you using the backend themes uploader?

Actually, the /uploads/ folder can still exist on network installs. Go look on the server. Is it there? If not, make it. If it is there, then WP doesn’t have permission to move files around.

    Thanks for the reply.

I AM using the backend themes uploader and strangely enough, themes on the wordpress site upload and install just fine. It is when I am trying to upload my Genesis themes that I get this issue.

    Any thoughts on this?

Hrm. Did you ask on the StudioPress forums?

I do know genesis works just fine and dandy, both with & without the network enabled.
