• I currently have a site that I recently transferred to GoDaddy for hosting. Was told I need to quit using MS FrontPage and use WordPress. I need any help on what I need to do to avoid problems. Also need to know how I can put the new settings in FrontPage so I can log in using FrontPage temporarily for now. My site is http://www.b-47.com Thanks in advance and my e-mail is imjackd@gmail.com

  • You’ll need to install WordPress and then start re-building your site in WordPress. As far as the settings for FrontPage you’ll need to contact GoDaddy for help with that. I suggest starting here with WordPress:

Tim; Thanks, so far I cannot get WordPress to install on my computer (laptop running vista). I’ll wait until Jan 2, 2012 when the support group returns to work and see what I am doing wrong in installing WordPress

You need to install a WAMP stack to run WordPress locally. WordPress is designed to work on a web server running a form of an AMP stack. (Apache, MySQL, PHP).

I’m sorry to be a bother but I have another question. I was told to make sure which WordPress I need to use. Should it be WordPress.com or WordPress.org What is the difference or is there any?

WordPress.com is the hosting platform, whereas wordpress.org is the web site of the CMS. In fact, WordPress.com is just there for persons who does not have any hosting. But you have yours, so just download and install WordPress from wordpress.org !
