• After 2 weeks of struggling, I really hate elementor. Nothing is intuitive. Every step is a nightmare.

Just 2 examples of my last frustrating days with it:
1- I just wanted to start with a blank page (with no name of the page, no title and other mess) a menu and a footer. That seems already to be impossible.
You can have a blank page (canvas/landing page, no obvious difference, it is just again to confuse the user), but then no way to have a menu/header/footer. Or you can have the all mess with titles and name of the site. Just to remove the title meant 20 minutes in google search, because it didn’t work with the theme I have.
OK, I gave up having a menu for now 🙁

My impression is that Elementor is constantly in conflict with the theme you (need to) choose and basically with wordpress!

2- I wanted to have a picture in a column, where the hover shows another one. After a lot of waste of time trying by myself and at the end 20 minutes search in google, I found out that you need to have a picture with transparency set to zero, in order to put a background picture, which can be changed on mouse over with another picture. Intuitive is something else!

I did build a relatively complicate page with WIX in a few days. Now I spend 2 frustrating weeks with wordpress and elementor and have nothing.

  • Basicly Elementor is one of the worst plugins I have used.

Unfortunately Elementor came with the theme that I just installed and at the beginning it seemed ok, but it takes 2 weeks without letting me advance.

I would like to charge Elementor for my wasted time.

Agreed. Drag. Drop. Then have millions of limitations in presentation. Total time waster.

same here, with the rise of gutenberg (its getting better and better) it will disappear anyway.

It started off well but now its just a nightmare.

My day is often filled with trying to fix the massive amount of errors on the backend. Then you have the plugins, oh boy does this piece of shit company lean too much on 3rd party plugins.

Just hope that a daily update doesn’t break your work flow and kill your efficiency.

Elementor needs a lot of juice to run and forces you to buy and spend up big on optimal web hosts.

A greedy company that is at the beheast of yet another VC and thus marketing and pushing sales is far more important.

And lets not start on the mess that is a daily update.

Support is non existent after you buy a license. Prior to sales you even have the bubbly, totes amazeball CEO “Ben Pines” jump in (i am convinced he is a bot) and chat to you pre sales. Afterwards you get nothing if you are lucky.
