Hasn't Worked For Me

  • I’ve tried backing up to Dropbox, and email. Neither has worked. It initializes, but never finishes the backup. Can’t seem to figure out why.

    Hi Casey,

    Do feel free to visit the support forum – http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/updraftplus – and post a log file of a failed backup. Then I can see what went wrong.

    I’ll try and get a log for you, but it always just says “Beginning creation of dump of plugins”, and then never does anything else. Don’t even know where I can get a log from. I never get any error. I just load the other page, and then nothing happens, and no backups are created. I’m trying it again now to see if I can get you anything.

    Most likely, the web server isn’t allowing PHP enough time to run to create the plugins zip.

    This new version can deal with that – please update:

    Hi Casey,

    Version 1.4.2 has several improvements now for larger sites. It should not be able to cope with basically everything – please could you try it out and let me know how you get on? I depend upon reports from people who had problems, because, well, all the sites I can test it on don’t have problems!

    Hello @caseythehost, have you tried the latest version 1.6.46.

    This is almost the most perfect backup plugin you can use in the market today. The reason for this comment is because the support you get from David is tremendous.
