# Hashtag Support

 * The description for WordTwit states that it supports hashtags.
 * My question is, does is convert the post tags to hash tags, or do I need to include
   my own hashtags?

 * Hi, you need to include your own. In the publishing widget you’ll see the hashtags
   options. It will remember recent & frequently used hashtags however for re-use.

 * Thanks Dale. So, if I understand you correctly, when I’m creating a new post,
   all I need do is add tags before clicking on ‘Publish’, and WordTwit will automatically
   convert them to hashtags. Correct?

 * Sorry, no— you need to add the tags in WordTwit’s publishing widget— you should
   see it on the right side of a post’s admin page— it looks similar to WordPress’
   own publishing widgets for categories and tags. Here’s a screenshot (taken from
   our own website!):
